By immersing ourselves in an entirely new environment to soothe the soul and over indulge on the essential dose of wellness, it is more than just OK to let the energy weave into its own cultural touch. Auriga Wellness Ubud experiences are drawn from Bali’s rich wellness tradition, with treatments using signature techniques and organic products exclusively blended for Capella Ubud, Bali, so it is exciting to note the exclusivity!

This is an absolute serene sanctuary within the sanctuary. Nestled in the lush rainforest of Ubud, Bali Island, the Land of the Gods with the the appeal through its sheer natural beauty and lush forests as well as terraced rice fields that exude peace and serenity, Auriga Wellness Ubud is more than a cocoon for you to rest, rejuvenate and tap into celestial rhythms.

You can expect the spa to be well presented in a luxury gigantic forestry campground inspiration, well staffed and with wide-ranging bespoke spa treatment menus and mostly their own exclusive in-house signature products.

The Auriga journey begins at the spa reception lounge that is adjacent to the main hotel lobby, which is open to the beautiful outdoors, so that you can soak up the atmosphere of the exotic hotel tented camp environs with all the lush vegetation.

In no time after a light refreshment, you are then introduced to the Auriga Wellness concept and choose your preferred essential oils accordingly to suit your senses and mood with a brief self-awareness consultation by the assigned graceful therapist.

With a moment of further relaxation to enjoy the peaceful outdoor surroundings, then you are escorted a short distance down the slope to one of the spa tents, but mind you, this is no ordinary tent.

Treatments can be taken in one of the three luxury well-fitted and decorated spa tents or the privacy of your own tent : Hollandia, Duifie and Mauritius. 

We were booked in the Mauritius treatment tent, as we entered the enormous fully functional and well-equipped couples tent, the interior is like nothing you have seen, with beautiful hand-carved traditional Balinese doors, stunning mural like artwork on the walls, lighting fixtures with local art motifs infused lots of other colorful design elements that blend perfectly well with the local cultural and heritage up-cycled old things made new of which of which has elevated the interior design dramatically, as everything is bespoke for just Capella Ubud.

Loud and more is more and it does work with carefully crafted thematic features. The burlesque creative design was done exclusively by the playful and whimsical landscape architect Bill Bensley, lover of all things natural who is renown for his eye for detail and the use of colour and unusual elements to attract the eye. Subsequently, you are not thinking about your treatment at the first instant, as you are immediately side-tracked and begin to marvel at the interior and taking everything in slowly.

Even the bathroom is a delight in details that puts a smile on your face and leaves you wanting to take more time before your treatment. But our therapists beckon and we know that we are in for something special and knowing that a revered and truly "happy ending" awaits.

With energy levels that tend to be sluggish and stagnant during these times, the <New Moon> treatment offers a renewing and energizing intuitive full body massage, including the use of tools to deeply stimulate and sculp the body, boosting circulation and flow of vital energy. While the energy levels tend to be high when the Moon is at its peak luminescence, the <Full Moon> treatment offers a synergistic relaxing massage to calm and deeply pacify the nervous system. Other signature massages are also exclusive to Auriga Wellness at Capella Ubud where inspiration is drawn from the heritage of holistic land of Bali.

With such a bespoke curated menu of treatments exclusive to Capella Ubud, Bali, you will be amazed by this holistic journey set in the mystical forest with an interior design and touches that take wellness to a whole new level!  Our therapists were spot on in every detail and nuance of movement. We felt lulled into a state of higher being, made even more so elevated by the interiors and location. We have never enjoyed a haute spa experience as much as this because of the thought that has gone into every detail and will be a Capella Ubud memory not easily to be forgotten.
