For her second season as the face of Longchamp, Kendall Jenner is photographed by Mikael Jansson for the House’s SS2019 advertising campaign. The visuals capture the energy and sensuality of Longchamp’s SS2019 collection, which was shown at New York Fashion Week last September. In designing the collection, Longchamp Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine was inspired by Seventies glamour, and her vibrant silhouettes, fusing Parisian elegance with a laidback Californian vibe, paid tribute to style icons Veruschka and Anita Pallenberg.
This is an attitude that comes naturally to California-born Kendall Jenner, who models the collection’s sheer animal prints, ikat motif, fringed suede jackets and gladiator sandals in a series of single and double-page spreads conceived in the spirit of a fashion editorial.
Capturing Kendall in
dynamic poses, Mikael Jansson makes full use of the collection’s statement
fringes to evoke the energy and freedom that are fundamental to the active
Longchamp woman. The other star of the campaign is the Amazone bag in padded
red leather, which Kendall wears cross-body on a leopard-print shoulder strap,
while other visuals feature the extravagant fringed and python-styled versions
shown on the runway.
