Lounging with classic American vintage cars amid a field of
wildflowers in Liberty State Park, Chloë Grace Moretz appears in
the new Coach New York Spring 2017 campaign with
the city skyline behind her. Shot
by longtime Coach collaborator Steven Meisel
and styled by Karl Templer, Moretz embodies the brand’s love
of Americana style.
With her hair blowing in the wind, Moretz personifies American cool, the spirit of independence and a distinctly New York attitude. Draping a leather jacket over her soft prairie floral dress, she mixes romantic Southwestern fringing with the toughness of biker leather. This season’s Swagger and Edie bags come in muted shades of pink while the Drifter appears in a chalk white.
Inspired by the eclectic craft of Santa Fe, bags are embellished with custom-made rivets and studs, a rich mix of semiprecious stones and genuine snakeskin details—a nod to the American West. Sheer printed dresses are accessorized with stacked printed silk scarves and heavy off-duty creepers made for exploring the city by foot.
Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers says, “Chloë has a sense of optimism that is the perfect juxtaposition to the New York City backdrop, Coach’s home city. Chloë’s ease and effortlessness of style feels relevant and very Coach.”
