TOD'S AW2016/17 Men Collection

 TOD'S AW2016/17 Men Collection combines practical design with relaxed masculine elegance. The garments, shoes, bags and accessories combine to form an ideal winter wardrobe for today’s cosmopolitan man. It epitomise the house Made-in-Italy philosophy – a commitment to fine quality, functionality and striking styling.

At the heart of the clothing collection is the leather down jacket. Made with the most exquisite and soft leather, this jacket looks robust while being surprisingly light and smooth to the touch. In keeping with Tod’s tradition of experimenting with leather treatments, the jacket has wax hand-brushed into it, which results in an attractive vintage look.

The leather down jacket is an incredibly versatile garment, which can be worn in both a smart and casual way; but however it is incorporated into an outfit, it will always denote the wearer’s appreciation of tradition, quality, elegance and contemporary design.

Launched last season, the Leo Clamp is a solid, geometric branded band, produced using traditional techniques of hot metal casting. Treated with a special finish that gives it a distinctive shimmering appearance and, importantly, enables it to come into contact with leather without impairing the hide’s appearance, the Leo Clamp has this season been applied to shoes in a range of new leathers and colours. The Leo Clamp is hand-sewn on to a variety of styles, including the famous Tod’s Gommino shoe and moccasins and loafers.

The men’s collection also includes other casual jackets in leather and fabric, as well as a wide selection of shoes in various styles, including smart brogues and Oxfords and a large range of trainers. Accessories include the Envelope Bag, sunglasses and small leather goods. Throughout the collection, many pieces feature Tod’s characteristic rubber gommini as a design motif.
