Berry Bros & Rudd introduces two whiskies from the Reserve Collection of award-winning Speyside distillery - The Glenrothes Vintage Reserve 12 Year Old and The Glenrothes Peated Cask Reserve by joining hands with Lai Bun Fu to create an eight-course whisky-pairing menu. Promotion ends 1st December 2016.
The Vintage Reserve 12 Year Old contains 12 different vintages, all of which are a minimum of 12 years old. It is an expression that epitomises The Glenrothes Vintage Single Malt philosophy of selecting only the best 3% of the distillery's production and bottling it when it is mature and ready to drink, whatever its age. Malt master, Gordon Motion describes the Vintage Reserve 12 Years Old's key flavour notes as "cinnamon, honey, melon and vanilla." It comprises 12 different vintages:1973, 1978\, 1979, 1982, 1985, 1986, 987, 0998, 2000, 2001, 2002,and 2003, This variety of Vintages, as well as the range of cask types ensures a balance of mature experience and vibrant youth. Ronnie Cos, brand Heritage Director of The Glenrothes adds: "The Flenrothes Vinatge Reserve 12 Year Old was developed to show the true character of The Glenrothes. Vintage Reserve 12 adds both extra cask maturity and extra complexity thanks to the additional Vintages that deliver complex flavours with a superb elegance."

The Glenrothes has always taken an interest in different approaches in which to showcase the depth of the distillery's character. At first, classically by experimentation with different casks, sizes and wood then, secondly, by looking outside the current box. By delving into the distillery's heritage it was discovered that one of the first associations with another distillery was with a company called Highland Distilleries back in 1887. This was an association formed between The Glenrothers and the Islay Distillery Co Ltd. The Glenrothes Peated Cask Reserve was awarded the highest accolade at The Scotch Whisky Masters. The masters forms part of The Spirits Business Global Spirits masters series which is fast becoming one of the most renowned blind tasting competitions in the world.

Mid Gold
Bouquet:
Nettles, new leather, peat, nutmeg and white wine
Palate:
Peat smokiness, light vanilla, spices and citrus peel.

Spicy and lingering.
