VALENTINO opens its new boutique in the Wynn Palace, Macau recnetly. The 297 sqm boutique marks an important step in the development of Valentino’s worldwide retail network expansion and it continues the innovative store concept developed by Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, together with British ar chitect David Chipperfield.
The store concept combines old and new in order to generate a kind of Palazzo atmosphere, steering away from a pure showroom and promoting a new retail architectural format in place of a more traditional retail boutique structure. The design of the new store is consistent with all expressions of the Maison: to create an aesthetic that speaks to today’s public, preserving the traits and identity of the brand - kindness, grace and elegance. Heritage and style co-exist in the idea of a ne w future that is not nostalgic, but full of memories.
The architecture is designed to complement the pieces on display, making use of a range of discreetly opulent materials - Venetian terrazzo, mirror striped glass, carrara, marble, walnut wood, carbon fibre, leather and grey carpet to focus attention on the collections and also evoke a sense of intimacy.
The boutique is distinguished by a light beige terrazzo shop front and is accessible from two distinct entrances, one for the women’s department and one for the men’s. The pavement throughout the store features white Carrara Marble, wood and moquette which perfectly reflects the iconic Valentino store concept.
The boutique carries all womenwear and menswear product categories: ready-to-wear, accessories and fragrances creating a shared personal atmosphere while still maintaining the brand’s fundamental values of craftsmanship, romanticism and classical style.
