Saddle and harness maker since 1837, Hermès has combined the excellence of its saddlemaking expertise with technical innovation to give the horse and rider saddles that bring together technical performance, excellent quality, precious materials and sporting elegance. Hermès, which already has 19 international riding partners, now affirms its traditional expertise on the saddle by becoming the official saddler of a national team for the first time. From now on the Hermès saddle will accompany the Brazilian show jumping team in the run up to the Rio Olympic Games and in the stages of the Nations Cup. From the first partnership with Nelson Pessoa in the 60s to that with Pedro Veniss today, the Hermès saddle has always been closely linked with the great Brazilian riders. Successive generations, which have and which continue to place their trust in the house have helped to establish a very strong relationship with the Brazilian Equestrian world. "A strong connection between the Hermès saddle and Brazilian riders has existed for more than half a century. The mythical Baloubet du Rouet winning a medal at Athens in 2004 with the Brasilia saddle is certainly a wonderful symbol of this. We are very pleased to be accompanying the Brazilian show jumping team in the year of their home Olympic Games" says Marion Larochette, director of the Equestrian métier at Hermès. “It is a great joy and a privilege to announce our partnership with the house of Hermès for the manufacture of saddles for the national show jumping team. Hermès is the house with the longest tradition of saddle-making in the equestrian world. It is an honour for us to have the confidence and the expertise of Hermès accompanying our riders for the Rio 2016 Olympics and the Nations Cup trials.” declares Luiz Roberto Giugni, President of the CBH (Brazilian Equestrian Federation).
