Sandro SS2016 women collectionconjures a mood of calm and independence that is translated by Evelyne Chetrite into a laid-back wardrobe, in a palette of soothing tones and easy silhouettes. Lightness and f lowing lines are the codes of an unapologetic, liberated femininity.
Stiff structure is out, leaving room only for the natural elegance and streetwise allure, both signatures of the Parisian fashion house.
Sandro juxtaposes materials to create silk shirts combined with cotton and blouses with guipure lace. Sweeping muslin dresses in various lengths are speckled with f loral prints on a black background, and paired with flat or block-heel sandals.
The peace and love motif - reinterpreted with a more contemporary eye is appliquéd on lace and printed fabrics.
Throughout the collection heavily topstitched jeans are high-rise and cropped at the ankle; the Sandro girl pairs them with a suede bomber jacket with ribbed trim or a fringed jacket, worn over a cream-coloured technical knit polo shirt with a red collar. The palette for the collection ranges from vibrant orange and red to pale pink and soft ochre, contrasted by cooler shades of blue and khaki.
