Gomitolo was designed by
Damiano Grassi Damiani in the late Eighties, in white gold and adorned with a
white diamonds pavé. Undoubtedly it soon became the iconic Damiani jewelry
collection that has sealed the success of the Maison’s pavé setting. Gomitolo
in Italian means “ball of yarn”, which has been the inspiration for this
collection made of precious bands softly woven together. The interwoven bands which
are a feature of the collection form luminous ‘skeins’ reaching extreme
softness in which the harmony of the design merges with the perfect
wearability. Gomitolo takes shape perfectly through the supreme goldsmith technique and
gemmological wisdom of Damiani, acquired during it’s over 90 years of history.
