PINKO FW2014/15 collection is a carefree woman who captures, to
perfection, the intriguingly dynamic and seductive spirit behind cool
contemporary elegance. Making her way through today's
increasingly techno cityscape in smart urban basics with fresh edgy flair, she
plays a mix&match game where street style acquires a tailored allure and
retro influences go ultra modern. Complete with accessories, the end result is
a wardrobe as multifaceted as her energetic and sophisticated, romantic and
decisive.
How she dresses shows exactly how she lives: with true versatility. She expresses a different aspect of her femininity every time she changes outfit, adding a fashion-forward twist as she alternates between a lovely fluid dress and Lurex micro skirt, short easy-fit coat with mannish texture and column evening gown, rocker-inspired leather jacket and a sporty-chic look in new tech fabrics. What makes the collection so distinctive and directional is the naturalness of the outfits, along with a keen attention to detail and a novel attitude toward mixing.
The palette sweeps from reassuring wintry hues in high-gloss black, powder grey, ink blue; to gorgeous vermilion red and electric-blue brights, plus a soft shade of cream. Coats and jackets, big on clean lines and straight cuts, offer a girlish take on favourite men's classics. The black leather biker also comes in a wool bouclé version, while both the '70s duffel and long bomber with contrast sleeves vary in length.
In addition, there are a number of furs, whether short and sassy or long and lavish. Heightening the appeal of each item is a remarkable union of styling features and accent elements, premium materials and working techniques. Outstanding quality and unique detailing set the agenda and a main reason why 90% of the collection is fully made in Italy.
Key Highlights:
<Miss Plume>
Feather decorations on jackets, tops and dresses signal the return of an exotic tribal mood in a recherché romantic mode. All make for an exquisite sense of mystery.
<Active Lady>
A 1970s ski inspiration gives definition to a dynamic sports-luxe style where tech fabrics, colour contrasts, stripes and energetic elements tell a modernist story.
<Polkadots & Pearls>
Streetwear assumes a bourgeois-chic slant for daytime and evening. Picture graphic dot prints on mannish jackets, flared pants and miniskirts, little cropped sweaters; plus chunky pearl trims on crew necks of sweatshirts and basic dresses, on sleeves of micro cardigans, and all over on tops and little dresses. Completing the concept are see-through lace inlays and other similar details.
<Slick Boyfriend>
Styles, fabrics, prints and textures from a guy's closet identify a fresh contemporary way of dressing. It's all about comfy sweaters and sweatshirts, Prince of Wales and macro plaid patterns in new urban or fun folk mode.
<Plisse Grunge>
Layers in a variety of weights make for the latest in metro sophistication. Light pleats contrast ideally with warm knit sweaters and comfortable jackets. The baggy fit and worn&torn effect add nicely to the impact.
