Giorgio Armani opens its first boutique in Chengdu, China, in the International Finance Square (IFS) mall recently. The new Giorgio Armani boutique features impressive façades, which face both externally from the IFS mall and internally to the inside of the store, and covers over 600 square metres. The boutique presents both Giorgio Armani women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories, including shoes, handbags and small leather goods. The boutique, designed by Giorgio Armani and his team of inhouse architects, features glossy marmorino plaster walls and matching ceilings, while the floors are in polished silk georgette stone. The accessories area is characterised by transparent plexiglass and glossy black frames fixed to mirrored steel structures featuring printed bamboo motifs. Selected furnishings throughout the store are from the Armani/Casa collection.
The design of the boutique blends craftsmanship and modernity to complement the aesthetic of the Giorgio ArmanI ready-to-wear and accessory collections for women and men. In China, the Armani Group's distribution network comprises 164 stores, including 15 Giorgio Armani boutiques, 58 Emporio Armani stores, 18 Armani Collezioni stores, 24 AJ | Armani Jeans stores, 6 Armani Junior stores, 7 Armani/Casa stores, 1 Armani/Dolci store and 24 A|X Armani Exchange stores.
