COACH FW2014/15 sees the continuation of the popular colorblocking story in the form of stripes, mixing contrasting suede and leather and strong color statements. This bold yet sophisticated look resonates from the elevated business collection to sporty backpacks and sophisticated portfolios and pouches. Available for the modern businessman is the functional Embassy Brief, adding extra attitude by combining a deep red currant and ash black. The Leather Backpack, one of the key men’s trends for fall, introduces mixed leather and suede to create an urban colorblocking effect.

Another highlight is the Center Stripe Day Tote, with a singular vertical stripe of color running down the middle in saddle, frost blue or navy. The theme carries into a variety of wallets, card cases and portfolios. The Mixed Bar Stripe Portfolio is perhaps the most interesting statement, piecing strips of leather and suede in handsome shades of chocolate brown, saddle, cordovan and black. Additionally, the Houndstooth pattern adds one of the most graphic statements to the collection.

Offered in Billfold Wallets, Accordions, and Pouches in cobalt, red currant and black, these striking pieces are printed with black ink over the bright leather and then embossed to make the Houndstooth pattern pop and shine.

Coach introduces a new grain developed in Italy from premium cowhides. The leather is chrome tanned to produce a full body leather and then embossed to create a unique Crossgrain texture. Paired with all new modern gunmetal hardware and sleek binding details, these elevated pieces are refined enough for work, but have ample attitude to carry from desk to dinner. The streamlined construction of these bags and accessories makes them sleek and lightweight, perfect for the man on the go. Both the Crossgrain Commuter and Messenger offer a clean and modern approach to the classic work bags.

The new Polished Glove Tan leather is refined while referencing Coach’s heritage. This retro glove tan finish retains the beauty of the timeless leather, but is polished to modernize the luxe silhouettes. The dressier collection hosts the refined Polished Glove Tan Slim Brief and Overnight Bag. The updated leather removes any vintage feel, introducing sleek lines and a more finished look.

For that perfect casual weekend bag or gym essential, the new lightweight collapsible leather of the Sport collection lends itself to the man on the go. Pop colors like red currant and cobalt are seen in the Sport Drawstring Bag, while the contrasting colorblock theme continues in the Sport Backpack featured in red currant/mahogany, olive/black and cobalt/navy. The messenger bag offers functionality and form, introducing articulated outer pockets for greater storage and a new look in styles such as the Sport Messenger and Pebbled Prescott Messenger.

For the casual businessman, he will find ease and style at the gym or the office with the Day Bag in saddle or black, offering space for a pair of shoes, a change of clothes and other essentials. The Pebbled Carryall lends a downtown attitude to everyday casuals, making it the perfect 24 hour bag. Two straps run down the front and back, but are not sewn completely flat to allow for a newspaper or umbrella to fasten to the outside of the carryall.

“Americana” is the word of the season with recognizable classics redefined for today’s modern man. The Wool Duffle Coat is a more tailored and slim version of the timeless shape. Genuine horn toggles clasp tightly to keep warmth within, while all interior seams are lined with leather for enhanced quality and style.
