CIAK
- In The Kitchen, Hong Kong’s first refined Italian trattoria is
honoured with one star by the authoritative Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2015. Under the leadership of three-star Michelin Chef
Umberto Bombana and his elite team of chefs, CIAK - In The Kitchen earns the
accolade merely ten months after opening, making it the very first and only
refined trattoria awarded with one star in Hong Kong, and among the city’s
three Italian restaurants achieving star-level status. CIAK- In The
Kitchen’s menu has seduced by offering honest and comforting cuisine using
top-quality ingredients in a homely environment, as described by the Michelin
guide: “The decoration is simple yet contemporary and the atmosphere is bustling
and busy. The food focuses on the tastes of an Italian home and the produce is
available to take away.” CIAK - In the Kitchen offers authentic Italian food and lifestyle, where guests can start off an evening with an Aperitivo and complimentary Stuzzichini at the bar before sharing an oven-baked pizza made of imported organic flour, lovingly and naturally fermented for 36 hours. The trattoria also boasts various open kitchens serving daily baked bread, delightfully sweet pastries and fresh hand-made pasta. The charcoal grill, lauded as one of the best in town, is another highlight that impresses with its traditional Italian homemade sausage, Australian full-blood Wagyu and US Brandt sirloin seared to perfection. “I
am very excited that CIAK - In The Kitchen has achieved one Michelin star in
such a short period of time”, says
Chef Bombana. “Our concept is to provide high quality Italian casual dining at a reasonable
price, a cosy place that people keep coming back to. We are glad that this is
well received by the Michelin inspectors and the public.”
Keep the ball rolling you have done the great job here.
