Swiss Auctions Spring Sale for Important Timepieces announces its sensational opening and held a cocktail event recently. After the remarkable success of its Premier Auction in October 2011, Swiss Auctions is set to hold its Spring Sale for Important Timepieces on May 7th 2012 at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Before that, an Auction Preview will be held from May 4th to 6th at the same venue, featuring new and vintage watches of renowned luxury brands as well as unique pieces from three members of the “Horological Academy of Independent Creators” including Marc Jenni from Switzerland, Aaron Becsei from Hungary and Aniceto Jiménez Pita from Spain.
A series of stunning timepieces was demonstrated, including a fine and collectable 18K gold Octa Calendar triple date automatic wristwatch by F.P. Journe, an exclusive and rare 18K rose gold Prologue automatic wristwatch by independent watchmaker Marc Jenni, the Minimal Wedding Set featuring a pair of man and lady wristwatches and matching wedding rings by Aniceto Jiménez Pita, the extremely complicated and uniquetourbillion watch Primus by Aaron Becsei, a very rare and collectable Cartier signed Rolex Daytona Paul Newman 18K gold wristwatch and afine and rare Chapter Two date-day display wristwatch by Maîtres du Temps.
Two attractive models showcased a fine 18K rose gold Bigger Bang Tourbillon wristwatch by Hublot featuring both tourbillon and chronograph functions which was estimated to be priced between HK$1,000,000 to HK$1,400,000, and a fine 18K white gold Midnight minute repeater wristwatch by Harry Winston with estimated price between HK$1,100,000 and HK$1,500,000.
