PRADA opened a new store in Porto Cervo entirely dedicated to its men's collections. Designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, the store covers a floorspace of 95 square meters facing onto La Passeggiata, one of the liveliest and most characterful destinations in the Sardinian town. The shop front, in keeping with the surrounding buildings, is in white plaster enclosing the shop windows, light box and entrance framed in iron with step in noir Saint Laurent marble.
The interior is a single open space with ebony parquet flooring and orange encausto walls framed with iron profiles. Metal and glass display cases of various shapes present the clothing, leather goods and accessory collections. The footwear zone has a chocolate carpet and a sofa in rust-coloured ostrich, creating an intimate and sophisticated ambience. Display counters in iron, glass and wood complete the furnishings. The generous use of reflective surfaces and indirect lighting make the space seem larger and create an elegant atmosphere full of character.
