Based on the acclaimmed novel by writer-director Julia Leigh, <The Hunter> made it to the giant screen with spectacular Tasmania wilderness and atmospheric nature captured. Not forgetting by bringing the mystery of extinct Tasmanian Tiger back to life. And YES, be patient, you will see the "Tiger" on the screen almost at the end of the movie to gratify your curiosity. We all know that the "Tiger" is no long exist in real but it appearance with what will happen to his destiny was quite moving. Dafoe's sorrowful yet ruthless and determined performance make no weary to the entire film. This art house release created a sort of romantic hit man eco-drama to make people realise that killing can be unnecessary. To some, it may be unconvincing but inferring plots need adjustment to fit in for the movie, at least it is not formulaic.
