Beringer has been Napa Valley's benchmark producer since its establishment in 1876 and established by brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer.

I was borned to a winemaking family in the Barossa Valley in South Australia, having had my college studies in Arts and Humanities but my interest in winemaking took me to Tatachilla in the MaLaren Vale as a cellar rat where that was the time I was really bitten by the winemaking bug.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science in Oenology, graduating as Dux and I had a couple of years working in various wine production jobs inclduing the Tarrawarra, a small winery in the Yarra Valley, Corbans, New Zealand and Petaluma Wine Group.

I moved to California to join my wife, who is also a winemaker for Diageo Chateau & Estate Wines. I kept my ties to Australia through a consulating winemaking relationship with Turkey Flat Winery making the 2005 and 2006 Vinatges.

I joined the Fister's Wine Estate in 2006 followed by SVP Wines Supply Americas in 2009 overseeing all espects of Wine Supply from grapes to customers, inclusive of Australian imports management to both the USA and Canada.

Beringer brand is a synonym of the true, top quality Napa Valley vineyard tradition and naturally we are benefiting from the increase love of US wines here in Hong Kong and China.

The 2007 vintage of Beringer's Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon marked the 30th vintage of this iconic wine, which has enjoyed a long history of praise from critical audiences.

US wine export to Hong Kong has grown to a new record at USD46 Million in 2010, a surge of 15% of 2009. Within the red wine category, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz are the three most popular grape varieties for red wine in Hong Kong.

There isn't really a thing call good wine or bad wine. It is about what you like, a personal preference is very subjective.

The history and the legacy of the winemaking interests me when it comes to winemaking. A company that had such a long history and a long-range vision intrigues my passion even further.

One of the greatest achievements of winemaking business is being able to experience having the wine introduced in various countries and get as much exposure to the world. Also, the quality of the team effort makes a big different in making this happen.

My favorite occupation is still in winemaking and I wish I could have other talent in photo journalism.

My ideal living lifestyle would be able to travel to great location like France, Italy and also spending time with my family in Healdsburg.

My current state of mind is to relax and get chilled and make sure this afternoon wine tasting goes according to plans.
