The Chinese Timekeeper, a Chinese brand, based in the world city of Hong Kong, finds great pride in offering unique and remarkable watches launched its first collection of exclusive timepieces. The eponymous brand name has been deliberately chosen to emanate the glorious Chinese heritage upon which its designs and inspiration are founded. Indeed many Chinese scholars, astronomers and keepers of time have shaped our history and the conquest of time. Similarly The Chinese Timekeeper logo found its origins during the Song Dynasty, the representation of a Chinese sage, with his long hair characteristically tied in a bun, walking, his hands behind his back, on the rotating gear of a watch movement is inspired by one of the oldest systems of keeping time. A system invented in China and the logo is inspired by these manikins, representing the eternal running of time.
Over six dynasties spanning a thousand years, some of the most influential Chinese scholars spent their lives developing mechanical timekeeping devices. Although in the early days, the conquest of time was driven by the pursuit of astrological knowledge rather than the precise measurement of time, China was among the first of all civilizations to be able to measure time accurately. Following in the footsteps of these prestigious ancestors, with a particular tribute to Su Song, The Chinese Timekeeper is embracing China's History to create the first exclusive Chinese Watch collection.
Not only is the heritage of the timepieces unique, their manufacturing is loyal to their roots, to the Chinese values of excellence and craftsmanship. It is daring nevertheless subtle, modern yet traditional, but above all an exceptional timepiece, proudly crafted-in-China. China’s finest watchmakers have created each of the timepieces with utmost care. Their self-imposed criteria of excellence have driven us to achieve flawless masterpiece to be enjoyed by the true connoisseurs.
