3.1 Phillip Lim Opens First Hong Kong Store

New York based fashion house, 3.1 Phillip Lim opened the first 3.1 Phillip Lim store in the Harbour City shopping mall Hong Kong.  The new 800-square-foot store is locatedon Canton Road Tsimshastui, Hong Kong’s premier luxury shopping destination and marked the sixth 3.1 Phillip Lim store worldwide, following stores in New York City (2007), Tokyo (2008), Los Angeles (2008), and Seoul (2009) and most recently Singapore (2011). 

Designed by brother architects Dominic and Chris Leong of Leong Leong Architecture, a New York-based design studio who has been recently selected for Architectural Record's Design Vanguard 2011, the 3.1 Phillip Lim store design represents an evolution of the brand’s retail concept established in their other flagship stores (New York, Los Angeles, Seoul, Tokyo and Singapore), effortlessly combining traditional and modern elements to create a compelling retail space.

3.1 Phillip Lim Harbour City creates a narrative of unexpected moments capturing the elegant duality of form and function synonymous with Phillip Lim’s sensibility.  A subtle play of classic white walls and modern lines frame the collection with a sophisticated sense of whimsy and luxury.  The material palette of the store is light, refined, and luxurious.  The oak floor is a playful reinterpretation of a traditional herringbone pattern. Walls made of civic marble are highlighted by champagne gold accents and colored glass fixtures bringing a modern twist to a classic palette.

  

  

  

  

The Hong Kong 3.1 Phillip Lim store will carry the eponymous women’s collection including the latest runway collection, offering effortless chic and timeless wardrobe to metropolitan women in style. The store will also offer an array of sleek accessories range including footwear, belts, bags and sunglasses.
