World-renowned Thai restaurant Mango Tree opened its door in Cubus, Hoi Ping Road, Causeway Bay. In collaboration with the local hospitality management company 1957 & Co., this is the first outlet of Mango Tree in Hong Kong subsequent to its popular outlets in Bangkok, London, Tokyo, and Dubai. Upholding Mango Tree’s tradition and prestige, Mango Tree Hong Kong is dedicated to maintaining authenticity and sophistication in its cuisine, environment and services. Headed by Thai twin chefs, Virat Kanjan and Vilai Kanjan with over 25 years of experience in Thai cuisine, having been head chefs at various 5-star hotels around the world including Intercontinental Hotel Singapore, the Peninsula Bangkok and Shangri-la Hotel.
The main dining area is decorated with Thai teak flooring, Thai silk tapestry and black oak movable screen to create Thai splendor. In contrast, the ceiling is lined with black steel mirrors and avant-garde lightings, creating a modern chandelier of lights across the skyline.
The Kanjan twins continue the Mango Tree’s principles by using only the best and freshest ingredients, organic herbs and spices and bringing the essence of Thai cuisine – Sweet, Sour, Spicy – to delicious extreme. The menu brings together the best of all four regions of Thailand: Northern, Northeastern, Southern, and Central Thailand. Signature dishes include Chicken in Pandan Leaves, Char-Grilled Pork Neck Fillet, Crispy Catfish Salad, Tom Yam Goong, Fresh River Prawn in Clay Pot, Yellow Curry Crab and Sticky Rice with Mango.
