《Jacob's Creek @ Wine Dinner》

Pernod Ricard Hong Kong and Jacob's Creek hosted a wine pairing dinner recently by introducing their latest Christmas "True Character"  Sparkling Moscato Rose and Moscato White Twin Pack with an complimentary 200ml Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir. The wine dinner attracts local connoisseurs to enjoy their wine pairing with carefully selected Chinese menu. Wines includes Jacob's Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Steingarten Riesling 2007, Reserve Chardonnay 2010, Reserve Shiraz 2008, St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 and the Heritage range of Johann Shiraz Carbernet 2005. The dinner also given a 2 return tickets to Australia together with 2 entries to the Australia Opens for the lucky draw winner.

Jacob's Creek Sparkling Moscato Rose NV

Fresh, fragrant raspberry and strawberry aromas with hints of pear. Light and refreshing with red summer berry flavours elegantly balanced on the palate with fine bubbles and crisp finish.

Jacob's Creek Sparkling Moscato NV

Fresh delicate tropical aromas with undertones of pear and peach, 1 hint of honeysuckle blossom. Light and refreshing with tropical flavours, the wine marries subtle pear notes with a touch of melon leading to a zesty sparkling finish.

Jacob's Creek Reserve Chardonnay

Bright pale yellow straw with vibrant green hues. Lifted, fragrant and attractive. Aromas of citrus blossom and nectarine are layered with nutty, vanillin oak. Barrel ferment character and buttery notes from malolactic fermentation complete this kaleidoscope of aromas. Fresh stone fruit and zesty citrus. Great intensity, a creamy soft mouth feel. integrated oak and a fine tight acid structure combines to offer a complex and complete wine.

Jacob's Creek Steingarten Riesling

Pristine aroma's of fresh citrus and appealing white floral jasmine. A restrained but flavoursome palate with attractive crisp lemon zest and flinty fresh green apple fruit flavours which are harmonised by a delicate but taut mineral acidity, which provides great power and persistence to finish of the wine.

Jacob's Creek Conawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep crimson red with purple hues. Fresh blackcurrant and dark berry fruit aromas on the nose exuding typical Coonawarra characteristic. A hint if black olive and licorice balanced with nuances of cedar and vanilla from fine grain French oak. Generous ripe cassis flavours with tobacco leaf, supported by subtle integration of oak leading to a rich, smooth finish.

Jacob's Creek St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep ruby red with crimson edges. A classic Coonawarra nose at the roper end of the spectrum. With concentrated dark berry fruits, blackberry leaf and chocolate, complemented by spicy, toasty oak. Elegant yet powerful, with refined intense berry fruit flavours and intergrated cedary oak, supported by a core of firm yet supple tannins, with  a long, savoury finish.

Jacob's Creek Johann Shiraz Cabernet

Full depth crimson, rich and complex, showing a harmonious blend of ripe blackberry and plum with liquorice characters from Shiraz, and refined cassis fruits from Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by cedary vanilla oak. The palate is intense, with layers of concentrated stylist fruit seamlessly integrated with the finest oak. Full bodied in structure with ripe yet fine soft tannins, carrying the fruit to a long rounded finished.
