It is powerful, provocative, impressionistic and poetic even some part of the movie there are frustration and not well understood. The first 1/4 of the movie, we thought we were watching Science & Discovery Channel, it was no doubt there was some innovative ways of telling a story. Hence, need not go back to the dinosaurs age and making it too long and slow to explain the brute nature and spiritual grace shape not only our lives as individuals and families but all life. However, this film is very well made as almost every scene was deliberately planned and captured in such a way that making the cinematography impeccable, even it was a little in disguise. Sean Penn is superb and Pitt wasn't bad either, the most outstanding one was Hunter McCraken who played the young Jack, simply phenomenal. This film needs time to get digest and swallow, you will then find some true meanings behind it. Making its way to the next Oscar best film category, you have our vote.
