Lange & Söhne celebrates the Chinese New Year by honoring it with two 18K yellow gold timepieces, the LANGE 1 and the LANGE 1 TIME ZONE, embodying the auspicious dragon which symbolizes prosperity and the radiant allure of gold. With its unique dial configuration and outsize date, the LANGE 1 inspired the entire watch industry with fresh impetus. Crafted with an 18K yellow gold case paired with a solid silver champagne-coloured dial, its precision instantaneous switching of the jumping outsize date occurs at midnight. Furthermore, within the LANGE 1, the escapement has a balance wheel with eccentric poising weights and an in-house balance spring positioned beneath the balance cock engraved by hand, beating at a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour. The dependable twin mainspring barrel is reserved in the timepiece, providing a power reserve of up to 72 hours.

The LANGE 1 TIME ZONE combines the superb legibility of its exceptional functionality with sophisticated craftsmanship. The timepiece features easily legible, ring-shaped day/night displays and a practical daylight-saving time indication. The classic off-centre dial configuration features two time indications, an outsize date display, and a power-reserve indicator. It also includes an adjustable city ring, allowing the wearer to easily set the time for a second time zone. Its dial indicates home time and the current time in a second time zone at a single glance, to celebrate the New Year with friends around the globe.

The GRAND LANGE 1 MOON PHASE featuring 18K pink gold and an argenté-coloured dial and the diamond-set LITTLE LANGE 1 MOON PHASE captivate with the alternating brilliance of the moon and envelope heartfelt emotions. A spacious stage has been reserved for the moon phase indication on the dial. It provides vividly realistic proof of how closely the moon phase display tracks the actual orbit of our planet’s companion. The patented coating of the lunar disc renders a lifelike portrayal to this astronomical indication. The diamond-set LITTLE LANGE 1 MOON PHASE is equipped with an argenté-coloured guilloched dial and a bezel set with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds, creating a radiant frame for the captivating dial. The lunar discs, also designed in argenté tones, are accompanied by two golden moon motifs, replicating the lunar orbit with precision through astronomical complication. The accuracy of the timepiece‘s moon phase display spans 122.6 years. Only after this short eternity, the deviation from the synodic lunar cycle would add up to one day, provided the watch runs without interruption for that duration.
