Ports 1961 AW2021 Advertising Campaign is bold, heroic and iconic. Marking the 60th anniversary of the house and inspired by the minimalism of the early 2000s, the graphic collection is brought to life by three of the season’s most sought after models. The featured looks, from Ports 1961 Artistic Director Karl Templer and the team, highlight key outerwear styles from the runway collection, embody Fall’s new approach to dressing, emphasizing warmth, comfort and tactility, alongside compromised elegance.
Lensed by Steven Meisel, with creative direction by Fabien Baron, and starring Achenrin Madit, Alyda Grace and Lexi Boling, the fashion portraits depict the cast in cocooning coats and skin tight leather boots with butterfly heels, an entirely new shape in the accessories line of Ports 1961. The clothes are distinctly textural, the shapes are dynamic and enveloping.
There is an overall emotional quality to the collection which can be felt in the campaign images - one of ease, a clear longing for human connection through touch, a desire to free the body completely from any constraints. The images combine a sense of strength and power with one of protectiveness and embrace. Low angle graphic photography exaggerates scale and proportion. Pulled back hair finished in a knot and graphic black liner add strength and individuality.
A campaign that reflects the strength that was the starting point of for the collection, reflecting the timeless elegance of the brand over the past six decades.
