Kim Jones reinterprets the Dior Oblique canvas, originally introduced in 1967 as an all-over motif on several accessories for the Summer 2019 collection including a backpack, a series of pouches that can be carried or slipped inside a bag, and a saddle pouch that can be hand-carried or adapted as a belt bag to carry essentials.
Dior also reprises the ‘roller’ bag, employing the iconic canvas with a see-through mesh. It can be carried as a pouch or worn crossbody, thanks to an adjustable and removable nylon strap with ‘Christian Dior’ jacquard and leather detailing.
The Dior Oblique canvas also appears as a detail on some sneakers, in high and low-top versions, combining Dior savoir-faire with couture details, and featuring the emblematic motif worked with microfiber transparency.
