COACH unveil the company’s next generation retail
concept at the Harbour City
Canton Road flagship store in Hong Kong recently. The new store design was developed by Coach
Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers, in partnership with world renowned
creative firm Studio Sofield, led by Designer and President William Sofield.
Drawing from a wide range of influences, the concept places a premium on
contrasting textures and luxe materials.
The Coach flagship store features a three story glass-block façade with face lit signage and the 4,000 square foot sales floor will include a ready-to-wear shop with custom furniture to evoke a residential feel. Handmade wool carpets and fine millwork accents emphasize a contrast of materials, essential to the Modern Luxury design while video walls add an element of movement and showcase the latest brand campaign visuals.
“As the Coach brand continues on the path of transformation, I wanted to create something different – different for Coach and unique in luxury,” said Coach Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers.” “I believe the new incarnation of the Coach store that William Sofield and I created will trigger a powerful change in the perception of Coach; it is sophisticated and refined, yet playful and authentic.”
Coach Greater China President & CEO Yann Bozec said, “I am thrilled to invite our customers to experience the brand’s modern luxury concept at our flagship store. The new design is the perfect environment to showcase Stuart Vevers’ latest assortment of stylish and sophisticated lifestyle products.”
To celebrate the opening, the Suede Coach Swagger bag will be available in Navy and Black Cherry, for a limited time exclusively at the Canton Road flagship store.
