MONCLER Gamme Bleu SS2015 Collection reflects the synergy of Moncler's expertise in active sportswear and outerwear with the hand-made tailoring sensibility of Thom Borwne. The concept centers around the sport of Boxing. As introduced in Fall 2014, women's wear will also be included.
For the scenography, Thom Browne created a life-size Boxing ring for the show in the court yard of the Palazzo del Senato. The boxing inspired collection will have details inspired by boxing gear such as a robe, boxing shorts with wide elasticized waist bands, ruching and smocking details along with new silhouettes of jackets with softer shoulders.
A specially designed star patterned embroidery and larger scale Moncler Gamme Bleu logo, that remind one of a boxing championship belt, were created for this collection.
The women's looks are also based on tailoring with usage of the same fabrics and detailing as the men's. The silhouettes include tailored jackets paired with bermuda shorts as well as more softer pieces such as skirts and dresses.
Classic Tailored Pieces: suits, sport coats, Chesterfield coat, trench, capes, cardigans, polo shoirts, trousers and shorts. A full collection, which includes outerwear, trousers, shorts, jackets, shorts and accessories in groups pf grey's red/white/blue and black tie.
Fabrics and detailing: cotton, lightweight summer wool, Oxford cloth, cotton pique, cotton jersey, lightweight cashmere as well as technical fabrics such as reflective fabric, light cordura, nylon ripstop, some with star embroidery and other detailing in red/white/blue.
Accessories: boxing-like lace up high-top shoes in cotton canvas and leather and leather gym bags.
