PRADA women’s SS2015 show is founded on a juxtaposition of the inherent beauty of antique and precious fabrics brocades from the 1800’s through to the 60’s and modest and humble ones cotton, gauze, and raw leather, creating a totally new, fresh, fanciful and extremely modern look.
The decadent aspect of the fabrics is crafted through raw processing and fraying techniques.
The silhouettes are straight and fitted, except for the short coats inspired by the 50’s, here reinterpreted in unusual materials.
Dark browns and blacks make way for light colours with touches of bright greens, yellows and lilac.
In footwear, leather clogs alternate with high heels all strictly worn with original and elegant silk jacquard socks. The handbags all formal are the brand’s classic models here reinterpreted. Nylon is back and features new details made of leather, crocodile and saffiano.
