The resort is deceptively large with the entire property spread over 1.5 hectares. There are only 3 villas (some extension is on progress) with multiple accommodation options to choose from and lying 80 metres above the Indian Ocean, thus offering an unstoppable and spectacular views from each location in The Edge, so this is indeed an unparalleled exclusivity.
The main swimming pool is a vision of stunning blue tiling, but it is sadly in need of some maintenance with tiles falling off but ample enough to enjoy some aquatic relaxation, some expansion is in the planning with more villas and an enormous swimming pool to be completed by year end as told by the General Manager.
There are surprisingly very complete resort facilities, including a Ocean Spa, a curved infinity main swimming pool, full glass window ocean view gymnasium, numerous wedding venues throughout the resort, a cliff bar, wine cellar, wine tasting lounge, home theatre (seemingly being the IT facility in most exclusive resorts in Bali) and a kids room. To name just a few, not forgetting also private villa dining with tailor made menu are available depending on which villa option you decide to book. For the absolute in privacy and security, body guard and nanny residences are also available. There is no need to find a reason to leave the resort. Read on.

Our one bedroom villa - The Villa which is called is the lowest situated villa, lying just
above the main pool and bar, but with an unimpeded ocean view (all other villas
are behind us at a higher elevation). The villa features a plunge pool in
natural stone right in front of our shaded portico, a huge outdoor deck with
sunbeds and umbrella, a separate dining pavilion and a bale right in a secluded
corner. The internal space of the villa is divided into two defined spaces - the
bedroom and large en-suite bathroom.

The bedroom has an enormous bed looking directly out to the
ocean through floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors – after all, it is all
about the views, plus a comprehensive entertainment system with iPad TV options
and a Blu-Ray DVD player to top off the experience with an amazing sound
system.
There is a work desk of sorts, but this is far too small to be
practical with no connectivity at the desk, plus there is an absence of seating
in the bedroom/living area, although plenty is provided outside. The en-suite marble bathroom to the rear also
has floor to ceiling windows opening onto a small private courtyard, with his and hers vanities and wardrobes, a very
large free standing Jacuzzi and sizable shower bay with multiple shower head
options. Almost an in room spa with multiple water facilities.
Each villa is allocated with a private butler and the entire
Butler team are "Magnum Butler Training" certified. The 24 hour
dedicated private butlers offer the complete services such as packing,
unpacking, preparing and serving all meals, arranging transfers, tours, events
and performances upon request (Don’t get the wrong idea) and run a fully
integrated concierge service. Because of the private nature of The Edge,
this resort does have the tendency to attract quite a few A list celebrities
seeking privacy while spending their holidays. Hence, the butlers are trained
to be extremely discreet and respect their privacy.

To top off the privacy and exclusivity, the resort does not have
a signature restaurant, but tailors all food and beverage requirements to suit
your needs. Yes, you have a cliff edge bar with a large dining table, but the
delight of this resort concept is that your butler can arrange an al fresco
dining options at various locations to fill your every desire.
When it comes to food, The Edge offers no signature dishes, but rather a personalized signature menu tailor made based on the gourmet guidance of the resort's Executive Chef and your preferences. Subsequently, resort dining takes on a new meaning at this cliff top aerie.
We had daily discussions with our butler about what cuisine we felt like tasting for all meal periods and on the first day we were graced with presence of the Executive Chef to give us a briefing about the ethos behind the culinary approach. Dishes prepared by the Executive Chef and his team includes locally inspired fresh season, elegant Mediterranean and European cuisines and exotic Asian delicacy plates. Choices are unlimited, you name it, they will try to a way to make it real.
With an extensive wine cellar of over 200 vintage selections, the food and wine pairing is masterfully created to finish the perfect dining experience. Thus, no request is too much, providing the ingredients are in season and available at the markets, which maintains an authenticity in the falvours.
Such thoughts not only offer what you wishes to have on every meal prepares but also it is the best way not to waste any excess food allocated on the table. Don't forget, this is the kind of exclusive resort not those international hotels' chain standard of buffet breakfast offered, if you opt for that, you have come to the wrong place.

Breakfast is not only included in your accommodation, but its is personally delivered or prepared by your dedicated butler in the villa's private kitchen, and served at the location of choice. The extensive poolside grazing menus cover brunch, lunch, canapes and aperitifs for lazy days spent at the pool and spa or in the villa themselves.
The pool side bar is the perfect location for sunset cocktails, perched closest to the edge and with some glass panels in the floor jutting out over the cliff, showing the vertiginous drop! The gym quipped with necessary needs overlooking the pool has jaw-dropping ocean view is put to good use at all vantage points for the resort amenities.

So what is in a view? Everything, as it turns out at this stunning cliff-side resort. This is the perfect romantic getaway from it all to just sequester yourself away from the outside world in an exclusive haven seemingly perched in the clouds.
This small luxury and exclusive villa resort can seem surprisingly large when you understand the magnitude of accommodation options and different atmospheres that each villa can create, as no one villa is the same. In the end, the point of difference is all about tailor-made experiences with uninterrupted jaw-dropping views.
