Givenchy FW2014/15 menswear collection creates an urban atmosphere that combines the sobriety and geometry of the Bauhaus movement with basketball imagery.
Riccardo Tisci drew inspiration not only from basketballs themselves, but also from the design and materials of basketball courts to produce this season’s abstract prints.
The collection possesses a raw, near-animalistic vibe with the presence of muskrat and possum fur. Other fabrics include velvet, angoras, wool flannels, and wool mohairs.
Tailoring is important this season and the new trouser silhouette looks loose and oversized, with double-pleats. The overall look is chic and elegant and evolves the Givenchy gang look even further this season.
