The
Piaget
Emperador Coussin Tourbillon Automatic Ultra-Thin houses an innovative and
creative Caliber 1270P. The Caliber 1270P is the first Piaget ultra-thin
automatic tourbillon movement with a thickness of only 5.5 mm. Fully exhibited
thanks to its sapphire crystal dial, this model's technical prowess is also
highlighted by the extreme sophistication of its gem-setting. Baguette-cut and
brilliant-cut diamonds adorn not only its case, profiles and case back (which
in turn reveals the carriage and power reserve display), but also its folding-clasp
buckle and the rings around the oscillating weight and tourbillon. The 49 mm case in 18K
white gold is set with 44 emerald-cut diamonds (approx. 8.2 cts), 92 baguette-cut
diamonds (approx. 2.9 cts) and 874 brilliant-diamonds (approx. 5.8 cts). Dial with
power reserve indicator is set with 107 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.2 ct),
and crown is set with a brilliant-cut diamond (approx. 0.3 ct) and 8
baguette-cut diamonds (approx. 0.2 ct). Buckle is set with 24 baguette-cut
diamonds (approx. 1.7 cts) and a small sapphire crystal case back. The
stunning
Piaget Emperador Coussin Tourbillon Automatic Ultra-Thin watch, along with a number of the brand’s remarkable timepieces was showcased at World Brand Piazza 2014 presented by Prince Jewellery & Watch
Company from the 3rd to the 7th of September.
