CARVEN SS2014 men collection looks a little like an artist from Vallauris. He uses his modest atelier as a monochrome colors neutral refuge where the overwhelming warmth of Provence sets the sun’s reflections.
He has a nonchalant elegance. He favors the essential, chooses an overshirt in nylon, belts a wide trench in mixed linen, opts for a suit in jacquard. His relaxed attitude is underlined by a coat in straw and pants in bamboo.
The fixed light of summer animates the vivid colors palette of his wardrobe: fern, mint and celadon greens, olive yellows, poppy reds and terracotta. By touches, handmade painted motifs emerge on bi-fabric liquettes and the felt-tip marker print spices up plaited cottons. This season, the Carven man has the disheveled allure of an amateur painter. At his feet, he wears Spartan and Méduse sandals designed in collaboration with Ancient Greek Sandals.
