partnership with Michael Wong launch a brand new shoe line recently. Edward
Green’s devotion to making the finest shoes in England with skilled
craftsmanship since 1890 has been nothing short of absolute. Producing only 11,000
pairs of shoes every year, its exclusivity and rarity has attracted a loyal
following of shoe lovers from all over the world, including Hong Kong-based
actor Michael Wong.
Wong first fell in love with the brand when he attended the Landmark Tassels boutique grand opening in 2008, where he acquired his first pair of tailored Edward Green Boots. Awed by the brand’s attention to detail and devotion to leather craftsmanship, Michael Wong and Edward Green began collaborating. After 12 months of meticulous development, the Edward Green x Michael Wong Collection was born. The Edward Green and Michael Wong Collection comprises of four pairs of shoes that express the traditional Northampton English style with Michael Wong’s personal contemporary take that alludes to his active and sophisticated lifestyle.
The Galway III features men’s style classics such as captoe in a tone-on-tone burgundy brown pinned with a black suede top shaft. For a more casual yet sharp ensemble, the Newmarket Chelsea Boot receives a makeover with a striking side gore in indigo. The Nevis Split Toe Boot comes in a rich chocolate brown hue or a handsome midnight blue, both of which were meticulously hand sewn by two experienced craftsmen with a pig bristle. Buyers must take special note on the Nevis Split Toe Boot midnight blue style as there are only 8 pairs created in the market and each pair is stamped with a limited edition number on the shoes. All the boots from this brand new collection are distinguished by a special Edward Green and Michael Wong heel stamp in the house’s signature mint green colour.
