ETRO Opens First Directly Operated Boutique by Milan Headquarters in Hong Kong

ETRO opens its very first directly operated boutique by Milan Headquarters in Harbour City, Hong Kong recently. The star-studded opening ceremony was officiated by ETRO CEO Asia Pacific Mr. Fabio Strada, guests of honour Ms. Cherie Chung, Mr. Hu Jun and Ms. Liza Wang, together with Ms. Canis Lee, representative of Harbour City.

Celebrities including Karena Lam, Mandy Lieu, Eric Kwok, Grace Ip, Lai Tsz Shan, JW, Oliviia Lee, Alex To, Shine, Au Yeung Tak Fan, Cherrie Choi, Charles Ying and Kam Kwok Leung, together with over 100 guests graced the event with a cocktail party held with a preview of the ETRO FW2014/15 collection.

Designed by Kean Etro with the theme of “Happy Tailoring”, ETRO 2014 AW Menswear collection pays tribute to Italian craftsmen. All drawn and sewn from the local traditions of Italy’s southern region, this collection is not only an homage to our past, but a commitment to preserve our future.

For FW2014 women collection, Veronica Etro taps into the force of Etro’s origins while forging a path towards New Tradition. A crossroads of nomadic cultures, travelling on the silkroad between East and West, leads to legendary landscapes and reveals forgotten craftmanship and details. A languid, folk couture mood weaves throughout, dusting surfaces with a gilded finish and wrapping the body with a cozy embrace.

The 1,234 square feet retail space exudes an air of Italian charm and timelessness. With Art Déco as the design inspiration, silver metal is juxtaposed against rich colours, bold shapes, elegant stitched suede and lacquered surfaces in the boutique. The alternating use of fabrics and lacquered panels creates a visual delight, and the floor is characterized by sophisticated grey marble.

Offering ready-to-wear womenswear, menswear, leather goods and accessories, the new boutique is a true manifestation of Etro’s world of Made-in-Italy style, quality and originality, which remains uncompromised, consistent and protected by the Etro family to this day.
