Robert Clergerie SS2014 collection is timeless yet fashionable under the creative direction of Roland Mouret and marks the continuity of the house’s stylistic approach and iconic looks: architectural lines, graphic minimalism, innovative craftsmanship and androgynous designs are mixed with Mouret’s modern and sensual aesthetic for an offering that melds fashion and comfort. The collection features heels and flats, and audacious and tame styles in five key stories.
<INDUSTRIAL CHIC> Inspired by one of the biggest rock ‘n’ roll style icons from the 90s, Kate Moss, the collection offers a glamorous edge. Brut and noble materials are combined with luminous colours and the ultimate dose of sophisticated craftsmanship. A metallic, glamorous look meets corrugated texture for a surprising cinematic quality bright contrasts and rich materials, ready for an evening at the Chateau Marmont. Articulated blocks, one of the house’s signature silhouettes, provide the optimal mix of height and comfort. Inspired by wartime clogs with hinges, wood blocks are transposed to new heights in architectural heels with the comfort of a bending platform and the glamour of Italy’s Cine Città.
<RAFFIA MACRAME> A material inspired from the 1940s, is a key Robert Clergerie theme this season. Available in a variety of colours on a contrasting bright white sole, this collection is a perfect sporty casual look for summer. The POSTA, a raffia high-top version of our best-selling Vicole. Easy sporty-chic raffia moccasins and creepers.
<SHATTERED MOSAIC> A new theme « shattered mosaic » inspired by Roman antiquity and the Art Deco movement. The curved and irregular surface is textured for a look that is modern and chic. The material is cut by hand, making these pieces unique works of art and showcasing the know-how of our artisans.
<SOPHISTICATED LEATHER TREATMENTS> Innovation and craftsmanship remain part of Robert Clergerie’s heritage with the introduction of three new lines of elegant leather. Graphic Damier is an elaborate construction (the calfskin is printed, embossed, and then flocked with velvet) that creates a graphic black and white look that is lady-like for day and cocktail. Also available in a refined derby. A touch of metal refined studded accents on a velour block or calfskin derby for a look that goes from morning until late night. Wovens inspired by the Italian seaside, our new woven leather collection is available in a combination of bright colours on a white or black base.
<MASCULINE-FEMININE FLATS> Masculine sandals with a touch of glamour, sophisticated materials, menswear details and studied forms are key characteristics of these reinterpreted icons. Derbies in sophisticated materials, edgy moccasins in metallic fabric and woven leather, creeper styles with new flashy uppers and c ool masculine sandals in bright white and classic black with on a metallic platform.
<PERFORATIONS> Strong perforation theme is a nod to the House’s masculine heritage. Modern sporty looks composite block with graphic sole in contracting black in white for height and ease. A new leather perforation inspired by golf codes was developed this season. Symbols of French savoir-faire : Red, white and blue themed derbies and heels with toe platform for added comfort.
<ROSE GOLD> This metallic coppery rose gold leather is reminiscent of a line of precious jewellery. Adding a touch of natural light to the shoe, this leather line creates a luminous, sophisticated look. Our best-selling styles are reworked this season in colours that go perfectly with the sun-kissed tans of summer.
