Feast Introduces An Exclusive Themed Afternoon Tea

Feast (Food by EAST) introduces an exclusive themed afternoon tea artistically directed by the award-winning cake designer, Penney Pang from 24 March to 18 May, 2014. The collaboration will introduce a classic British high-tea experience for a relaxing afternoon. collaborating with Cath Kidston, the modern vintage British fashion and lifestyle brand, the themed afternoon tea includes an afternoon tea set during weekdays and a tea buffet during weekends. 

Both afternoon teas are inspired by Cath Kidston’s bright and beautiful SS2014 collection –Brighten Up Your Day. The collection’s inspiration of fresh blooms and seasonal floral prints matches perfectly with Pang’s signature cake design, which features delicately handcrafted sugar flowers often with a touch of British flair. Directed by Executive Chef of Feast, David Parkinand and his team created some highlights for the afternoon tea. The set include the English Honey-Glazed Ham and Mustard sandwich, Tea-Smoked Salmon, Horseradish and Cucumber sandwich, Duck-Egg Mayonnaise and Watercress sandwich, Sun-Blushed Tomato Palmiers, Quiche Lorraine, Asparagus Wrapped in Gorgonzola and Cured English Ham, Classic Fruit Scones with Devon Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam, Orange Blossom Chocolate Bon Bon, Rose Cream-Filled Macaroon and Earl Grey Cupcake; all of which are paired perfectly with the traditional English tea or coffee.

Pang will be guest-designing the sugar decoration of the dessert items, during the weekends, Chef David will present a tempting tea buffet with a colourful array of sweets and savouries including made-to-order Panini Sandwiches made to order, Seasonal Salads, a la minute Chinese Dim Sum, a Soup Section, Shallot and Tomato Puff Pastry Lattice and more. For the sweet lovers, there will bean additional dessert corner inspired by Cath Kidston. The afternoon tea is priced at HK$228 for a set for two from Monday to Friday and, HK$195 per person on weekend from 3:00pm to 5:30pm. A special Cath Kidston rose hand cream to take home together with a discount card for any Cath Kidston store. Reservations are recommended and the offer is subject to a 10% service charge and availability.
