Bally New Design Director @ Pablo Coppola
BALLY announces Pablo Coppola the new Design Director who will undertake creative
leadership of every element of Bally men’s and women’s
collections including shoes, bags, small leather goods, ready to wear and
eyewear. Based in Bally’s London offices, Buenos Aires-born Coppola will head a
15-strong design team. Coppola
was chosen by new CEO Frédéric de Narp for his intimate understanding of the
brand, and his ability to channel the energies of a team into a fresh vision
for Bally’s future. “Pablo’s
attitude to design is both aligned with Bally’s legacy as well as our plans for
tomorrow,” de Narp said. “It is an authentic approach to luxury fashion and one
that encompasses quality, craftsmanship and a pioneering spirit unique to our
163-year-old brand.” A
graduate of Paris’ Institut Francais De La Mode, Coppola has honed his career
working for the fashion industry’s most celebrated luxury brands and visionary
designers. Prior to joining Bally, he was head of accessories at Tom Ford.
Among Coppola’s career milestones include his tenure as senior accessories
designer at Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, Burberry and Celine. “Pablo
has the talent to further strengthen Bally’s presence in leather accessories
and footwear, underscoring them with stylish ready to wear designs,” de Narp
added. “He will lead the design team in creating collections that will infuse
our house with glamour and excitement.” Coppola’s approach for Bally includes a
renewed focus on craftsmanship and
innovation. “I
believe in Bally,” Coppola said. “With the team we are already pushing the
brand forward and letting the product speak for itself. We are creating a
softer style of luxury where products are made for real people,” Coppola said.
