MIKIMOTO × HELLO KITTY Jewelry Collection

MIKIMOTO presents the New Global Jewellery Collection “MIKIMOTO x HELLO KITTY”, created in collaboration with Hello Kitty, the popular SANRIO character. The collaboration between Hello Kitty, the Japanese pop culture icon which has always been loved and embraced by different generations and even celebrities from over the world since her debut in 1974, and MIKIMOTO, the renowned Japanese luxury Jewellery brand that continues to deliver the nature’s beauty to the world for over 120 years, brings the two brands to a new page.

  

Integrating MIKIMOTO’s emphases of exquisite craftsmanship and also use of materials with the essences of Hello Kitty, this creation of the new High Jewellery pieces are fully capable of displaying MIKIMOTO’s design expertise and also the playfulness of this collaboration, conveying to the world the real charm of pearls.Kitty likes tiny and lovely things. Her favorite is the stars in the sky. This piece of jewelry depicts Kitty gazing at the stars twinkling in the sky. Kitty’s ribbon is created by rubies, her eyes are onyxes and the stars are diamonds. The twelve-strand Akoya pearl necklace makes a voluminous and gorgeous impression. The necklace is accompanied by earrings depicting Kitty’s face

Following the announcement on 24 January in Paris, the MIKIMOTO x HELLO KITTY Collection is available for sale in Japan from 30 January. As for the other regions including United Kingdom, the United States, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan & Singapore, the collection will be launched in September/October 2014. Around 20 items, including necklaces, earrings, bangle and rings are scheduled for the release.
