PRADA unveils a retail space bearing the brand's strong identity in New York's Dover Street Market, the latest outpost of Rei Kawakubo's cutting-edge concept store, following sister locations in London and Tokyo. A neoclassical New York building at the corner of 30th Street and Lexington Avenue houses a new Prada space on the 7th floor, a luxury world that will be constantly evolving to reflect new creative ideas and aesthetics.
The space itself showcases a special selection of clothing, accessories and shoes bearing a distinctive label: Prada Dover Street Market New York for timeless, absolute classics. The creative aesthetic for the opening is based on the "In the Heart of the Multitude" project that inspired the SS2014 catwalk backdrop design. Moreover, special mannequins have been painted exclusively for Dover Street Market New York by Gabriel Specter, one of the mural artists involved in the decoration of the Prada Women’s show space in Milan.
