The
world’s largest Hackett London store is set to open on London’s premier
shopping street. The new 3-storey, 830 sq. metres store showcases the entire Hackett lifestyle. The existing Regent Street store will
close and be replaced with the new flagship, sitting at 193-197 Mutual House. Hackett’s
shop window to the world, the new flagship constantly evolve to reflect
the current season and Hackett’s visual campaigns. An interactive sound system
and digital screens will bring to life many of Hackett’s sporting partnerships
and activities throughout the store.
The flagship has been designed to be open and easy to navigate. ‘Made In England’ proudly welcomes visitors into the new store. Two large windows flood the space with light and the ground floor is home to Hackett’s extensive casualwear collections, including Hackett’s sponsorships ranging from the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race to Aston Martin Racing, the ground floor is a large, open space allowing visitors to flow and further explore the lower ground and first floors.
Lower ground is home to kidswear and Aston Martin Racing. A large, decorative tree that will be themed and change with the seasons is central to the children’s area. This interactive play area offers parents a chance to shop while their children are stimulated and happily distracted. A dedicated Aston Martin Racing area takes pole position with stitched leather, carbon-fibre and chrome fixtures all reflecting the detailing from these luxury sports cars. A new shelving concept allows the space to be changed very quickly, adding additional theatre to the retail experience.
The first floor is home to Hackett’s formalwear and Mayfair collections. There is a dedicated accessories room, a first for the UK, and a contemporary bar in association with Beefeater 24. To compliment the accessories room, a workshop allows customers the option to have purchases hot-pressed with monograms or personal messages. Hackett’s large selection of luxury leather goods can be customised while customers relax in the spacious lounge area and enjoy a drink from the bar. Here, bespoke joinery is complemented with antique pieces and mid-century furniture; day-beds, Egg chairs and glass coffee tables all allow customers to enjoy the space in front of the working stone fireplace and compliment Hackett’s premium Mayfair label.
Hackett’s brand identity is reflected in the artwork throughout the store; timeless Hackett ‘Mr Classic’ images, contemporary oils, prints, lithographs and architectural drawings are all mixed to reflect the vintage Hackett aesthetic. Central to the store is the staircase. This impressive architectural construction has an industrial feel with laser-cut and pressed steel. ‘Hackett London’ is etched on to the risers and is visible as customers ascend the staircase. A giant light-box projects the latest Hackett campaigns and imagery into the space and overhead floats a chic 1950s Sputnik-style chandelier.
Prime position goes to Hackett’s Tailoring service. A giant window looks out over Regent Street, and towards Oxford Circus. This prestigious spot is perfect for men to consult with the in-house tailor on Hackett’s extensive Bespoke, Made-to-Measure and Personal Tailoring.
Hackett’s new Regent Street flagship is a bold, physical reflection of its standing in its home city. The finest British menswear, Hackett London, has in its Regent Street Flagship the complete Hackett lifestyle in one store and testimony to the success of this great British brand.
