Asia Miles supports the L plus H Charity Sweaters Fundraising Campaign and invites members to donate miles for redemption of sweaters for those in need this winter. From now until 15 January 2014, Asia Miles members can donate miles via Asia Miles online iRedeem platform. For just 2,500 miles, members can redeem a sweater produced by Hong Kong social enterprise L plus H. Sweaters will be distributed to the homeless and low-income families in Hong Kong before Chinese New Year by local non-profit organisations. By partnering with L plus H, Asia Miles for the first time offers members an opportunity to redeem a tangible item for a charitable cause. In addition to the online charity platform in which Asia Miles members can donate miles to designated charities, this charity redemption campaign is a new initiative to further encourage members to join Asia Miles to give back directly to the Hong Kong community. L plus H has been running the Charity Sweaters Fundraising Campaign since 2011, providing sweaters for grassroots non-profit organisations to distribute to the most needy. All sweaters are 100% made in Hong Kong at L plus H’s Tuen Mun factory from excess yarn donated by yarn mills. The campaign also generates stable income for skilled workers during the slow season.
