The All-New BMW X5

The all-new BMW X5 was launched in Hong Kong and held a party event recently. Despite the all-new BMW X5 xDrive30dA、BMW X5 xDrive50iA、and BMW X5 xDrive50iA M Sports, BMW X Models include BMW X1 sDrive20iA，BMW X3 xDrive28iA and BMW X6 xDrive35iA are also showcased at the venue.  Launched in 1999, the original BMW X5 (E53) pioneered a new vehicle segment in the automobile industry: Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV). With its strong character and versatility, the BMW X5 was an instant success. The second generation BMW X5 (E70), which launched in 2006 and underwent a facelift in 2010, built on the success of its predecessor. More than 1.3 million units have been sold globally, which makes the BMW X5 a record-breaking automobile. This year, the third generation X5 (F15) once again sets the benchmark in its class and expands its leading role even further with outstanding performance and efficiency as well as handling, comfort, versatility and a luxurious ambience. Once again, the all-new BMW X5 is ready to make SAV history and claim its spot as the industry’s leader.

 The design language of the all-new BMW X5 reflects a characteristic and evolutionary development from its predecessor. The extremely broad-set kidney grille extends all the way to the headlight units - the light rings levelled off at the bottom while an LED accent light overlaps the top edge. Sweeping chrome inserts and the prominently three-dimensional design of the lights underline its sophisticated character. LED fog lights are included as standard while Adaptive LED headlights can be specified as an option.

 The visible aerodynamic features emphasize the wide track and broad stance of the all-new BMW X5. The front apron, with side air intakes positioned far on the outer edges, draws even more attention to its robust character. Meanwhile, drag-reducing Air Curtains make their debut on this BMW X model. The precisely-drawn lines rise up towards the rear end and build a wedge shape exuding dynamic intent. The resulting light and shadow effects bring out the athleticism and agility of the SAV.

With its luxurious ambience and enhanced ride comfort, spaciousness and seating comfort, the all-new BMW X5 offers noticeable enhancements to its predecessor. The newly-designed driver and front passenger seats ensure a high level of long-distance comfort and impressive lateral hold through dynamically-taken corners.
