Jaeger-LeCoultre Showcases Hybris Mechanica & High Jewellery Collections at Watches & Wonders First Asia Haute Horlogerie. For this special occasion, the Manufacture has prepared a full range of watch models composing its latest High Jewellery Complications collection, and is offering an exclusive viewing of their masterpiece creations including Duomètre Sphérotourbillon (limited to 5 pieces) and Master Grand Tourbillon Enamel to collectors, connoisseurs of exceptional watches, and media from Asia.
For the past decade, the name Hybris Mechanica has been synonymous with the utmost in the fine art of watchmaking. The Hybris Mechanica collection reflects the full savoirfaire of the Manufacture. As part of its 180th anniversary celebrations, the Manufacture is delighted to present this extraordinary collection in Hong Kong. The magnificent creations of Jaeger-LeCoultre are showcased in a 300m2 self-standing booth designed and furbished in a modern style while maintaining the Manufacture’s DNA and philosophy, evoking a luxurious and cozy atmosphere. The exhibition allows eight wrist watch masterpieces that have thus far appeared in the Hybris Mechanica collection to pass in review and also shines the limelight on this year’s debutante, the Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3 Jubilee.
Beginning with the Master Gyrotourbillon 1 (2004), and continuing in order of appearance, they are : the Reverso Grande Complications a Triptyque (2006), the Master Compressor Extreme Lab 1 (2007), the Reverso Gyrotourbillon 2 (2008), the Duometre a Grande Sonnerie (2009), the Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication (2010), the Reverso Repetition Minutes a Rideau (2011) and the Duometre Spherotourbillon (2012). The tenth model in this illustrious series is the Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3 Jubilee (2013), which debuted in January 2013 at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva. Collection of these nine masterpieces marks it’s first time to be exposed in Asia in a perfect setting to the most demanding collectors in Asia. To satisfy curiosity of all those enamoured with Jaeger-LeCoultre and with fine watchmaking craftsmanship, the Manufacture has created three major master classes covering areas of watchmaking, enameling, and gem-setting tailored to reveal the uniqueness of the Manufacture’s savoir-faire. Nine workbenches are reserved for watch enthusiasts in each class, who are allowed not only to dismantle and assemble the calibre, but also immerse into such unique craftsmanship experience guided by master watchmakers from Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre of Vallée de Joux, where everything began, and where over 1,200 calibres have been conceived, developed and produced since 1833. Over 180 kinds of watchmaking expertise, from the rarest craft professions to the most cutting-edge technologies, are all under one roof.
