Roger Vivier iconic “Virgule”
comma pumps crafted for his eponymous
brand in 1963 is returning this season. When it was first released, the Virgule
heels were all the rage with the ladies. Whether they be traveling or going to
the nightclub, the heels were a popular choice. It soon became a classic item
in footwear. To celebrate the
grand return of the Virgule series, Roger Vivier will held a special reception
at Socialito in Central to witness the momentous return of the classic
heels.
The event’s backdrop features the brand’s new international ad campaign, which emphasizes on the brand’s timelessness while staying up to date with modern sensibilities. With a DJ on hand and unique lighting, the scene had the joy and spirit of a night out at the clubs. The mood fit the eclectic charm of the Virgule heels, which are at once classic and hip.
Roger Vivier selected 21-year-old DJ and model Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor as the brand ambassador for the Virgule line. She brings with her a French fashion sense with music street cred and creativity. Photographing the model for the campaign is Olivia Bee, who at 19-years-old is already a renowned photographer in the US. With these two trendy and established young women at the helm, Roger Vivier and the relaunch of the Virgule will no doubt once again become the focus of the footwear industry.
