GREAT
Food Hall Takes Taste Buds on an Italian Journey in
its “Eat Italian” Festival launched recently with the support of the Italian Trade Commission. More than
250 items are being introduced, ranging from olive oils, vinegars, pasta, deli meats
to cheeses sourced from some of the best Italian producers.
Special flown in guest chef from Rome, Andrea Golino, will be presenting a cooking demonstration on a cold dish called Cod Mantecato. This typical Venetian specialty is prepared with a handful of ingredients, namely soaked and desalted cod, potato, black olives and cherry tomatoes.
GREAT underwent substantial renovations this year and expanded its
space coverage to 36,000 square feet. Besides revamping its look and feel and
upgrading facilities such as a new 64-foot long refrigerated shelf. Leading the exciting venture is the new Cheese Room, the first
walk-in cheese emporium ever to open in a local food hall. Next up is the new
Luxury’s Corner of refined gastronomy.
GREAT Food Hall @ Eat Italian Festival promotion ends on 10th October.
