Shanghai Tang FW2013 ada campaign showcasing the opulence and glamour of the new FW2013 collections against the backdrop of the magnificent Folies Bergere in Paris. Through the lens of photographer, Richard Bernardin, the images tell the story of a modern, jet-set Chinese couple on a special night out in Paris. Sophisticated and stylish, they are seasoned world travellers who seek out arts and culture wherever they go.
On this evening, they experience the golden age glamour of a cabaret revue at the historic Folies Bergere. The epitome of Parisian sophistication, the spectacular theatre with its gilt, Baroque embellishments provide the perfect setting for Shanghai Tang’s opulent FW2013 collections. The luxurious textures and tones of rich velvets, fine silks and sleek leathers are shown to full effect, while the Art Deco interiors echo the clean lines of each modern Chinese silhouette. Numerous theatres were scouted for the photo shoot, but none could compare.
The campaign features Zhao Lei, China’s most sought-after male model of the moment who has recently been seen on numerous magazine covers and runways around the world. The charming couple also includes the graceful Zhang Lina, the Chinese supermodel who starred in the chic brand’s Spring Summer 2013 campaign. Together, they portray a new, understated glamour emerging from China today which is beautifully reflected in the Shanghai Tang collections for FW2013.
