Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2013 Ad Campaign shot on location in New York City. For the first time, DVF enlists model Daria Werbowy, stylist Carine
Roitfeld and photographer Sebastian Faena to accentuate the core attributes of
the brand. The truly evocative result created with New York based creative
agency, Laird + Partners captures the essence of the DVF woman: effortless,
sexy, and on-the-go. Aptly titled Glam Rock, <DVF’s Fall 2013 collection> comes to life in
images inspired by authentic photos of celebrities taken by respected paparazzi
during the 1970’s. In a similar fashion, DVF puts the spotlight on Daria who
captivates the camera while she’s followed throughout her evening with lights
flashing, the epitome of 70’s glamour. Roitfeld’s take on DVF includes equal parts [leopard] and
attitude. Evening looks take on a bohemian glam quality, while an arresting
image of Daria sitting on a desk conveys a woman who knows how to get the job
done.
The campaign marks the exciting debut of the must-have DVF Sutra bags featuring bold and iconic hardware evolved from the signature Chain Link print and the renowned Sutra bracelet. Also in the spotlight is a fresh take on the wrap dress. “This campaign, like the collection it represents, is really about getting back to our roots. It is about empowering women to be the rock star and the muse of their own life,” says Diane von Furstenberg. The campaign will break domestically in September editions of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and InStyle, among others. It will also run in International titles including Vogue Italia, Vogue UK and Harper’s Bazaar UK.
