3096 Days

When the news was released, it was wrathful and shocked the world and now making it to the giant screen. This is the true story of the missing Austrian girl Natascha Kampusch who was kidnapped at her age of 10 and managed to escaped after being capture for 3096 days and released her book of abduction and imprisonment in a five sqm dungeon and suffered from her mentally ill abductor, Wolfgang Priklopil with physical abuse. Indeed, Kampusch escape was the triumph of the human spirit. Be prepared for some disturbing scenes (which was indeed necessary) which was well carried by both actors Antonia Campbell-Hughes and Thure Lindhardt as well as the little version of her played by Amelia Pidgeon. The skeletal frame of Campbell-Hughes was intended to emulate was enough to make you believe that how her abductor had tortured her in such a evil way. This bitter truth German made movie was shot in Bavaria and Munich despite the incident took place in Austria. This is the sort of movie that you are not watching it for enjoyment but here again for a self reminder that real pervert and psycho do exist in our real life. This highly anticipated film is a must see movie for the year.
