This time The razor-clawed mutant superhero Wolverine is not fighting against his fellow mutants but the Japanese Yakuza as the "captive" Wolverine was summoned to Japan by an old acquaintance and embroiled in a conflict that forces him to confront his own demons. 90 percents of the film was shot on location in the modern Japan with numerous excellent combat action scenes being well carried out especially the bullet train fight giving a uniquely thrilling momentum and the funeral chase as well as the snow village ambush by the Ninjas. Hugh Jackman has once again delivered his most human's vulnerable emotion playing Wolverine while not forgetting to up keep his well trained figure for the role, it was certainly a double thumbs up for that. Model turned actress Tao Okamoto with one dimensional with repetition expression doesn't really make her acting shine but at least she got to kiss the wolf at the end. How envy for all Jackson's fan? Lucky her. The film may not be a good one with lots of prediction but it remains quite entertaining at least for Marvel'c comic.
