TATE
Dining Room & Bar celebrating their 1st anniversary by creating some new classic & traditional French dishes. The cuisine in TATE always seek to satisfy the constant collision of cultures, inspiration, art and technique juxtaposed with the poetic Japanese aesthetics and flavors. The utmost attention are given on quality, flavor and every intricate detail; serving up wholesome yet tantalizing dishes towards the four seasons by the talented TATE's team lead by Vicky Lau.
“At TATE, we create edible stories by using the ingredients as the characters, seeking the brightest and seasonal “talents” for each role and composing them in a poetic scene to create unique edible stories with Japanese concept of balance and being at one with nature. We add a dash of ‘drama’ and garnish them with a hint ‘romance’, they come together to tell a story that can be romantic, dramatic, comedic, or melancholic. And hopefully each bite of the story that the audience takes will evoke desire, inspiration, harmony and obsession.” Said Lau.
From the design world to the culinary world and followed her stint
at Le Cordon Bleu, Lau officially made her maverick move from design to
embark on her culinary career and was soon working at some of the most
acclaimed kitchens in Hong Kong, including a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Having gained invaluable experience, Lau realized her vision by combining
the best of her instincts and talents in design and food into a space where others can share and experience her passion. Lau's 1st anniversary new classic dishes at TATE are:
